Camp is a real adventure for
young, exploring minds. The days are full of energy, activity,
discussion and new friends. A new sense of independence and confidence
is one of the many by-products of the camp experience — even for the
younger campers. This camp event is specially designed to provide an
exciting introduction to camp for the first-time camper. The event,
three days and two nights, is long enough to become comfortable with
camp life and short enough that campers rarely have difficulty being
away from home for what may be their first time. The camper-counselor
ratio in each cabin is low to assure personal “mom or dad-like”
attention.

The camp schedule
provides routine for the days so campers quickly become comfortable in
the camp setting. Arts and crafts, swimming, boating, nature hikes,
cooperative games and other exciting activities expand these new
campers’ horizons.
Campers and parents are
always invited to call or to send an e-mail note to Jeff
Puhlmann-Becker, the Managing Director at Pilgrim Center, with questions
— or simply to learn more about camp. Our goal is to make sure you are
comfortable and excited to come to camp!
