This event is designed for young established or emerging
quilters ages 8 and up, and their parent, grandparent or older adult to
experience a quilting retreat together. The event, which begins after
dinner on Friday, and concludes after lunch on Sunday will be a time of
fun and education.
The weekend will include time to learn the basics of
sewing, cherish quality time together and relaxation. Together we will
make a pillowcase and two other small projects to take home. Quilters
have traditionally been a caring and compassionate group and the
quilters at this event will experience this by making a small charity
quilt.
The leader for this camp is an award-winning quilter who
also has over 10 years of experience being a craft counselor at a summer
camp.
Parents (or grandparents) and children live together in
private rooms in Oak Mound Lodge, our year round retreat center,
allowing comfortable and private interaction time. The main lounge
features a wonderful stone fireplace and decks overlooking Green Lake —
perfect spaces for gathering, playing and relaxing!
Join in this wonderful opportunity and nurture the
creative spirit God has pieced into the lives of young and old alike!
