Type the word “wood” in your web browser and you will find wonderful images of
wood and of the fire blazing on a cold winter day. Pilgrim Center is blessed with a beautiful wooded site on the shores of Green Lake. The natural cycle of life is at work at camp with new trees taking root every year, and trees that have been part of camp for thousands of campers taking leave of life. This work weekend is open to everyone who want to help in tackling the many tasks at camp, but most specifically to those who want to get out in the woods and get in touch with the centuries-old task of stocking up wood for the winter! We’ll cut, split, stack and make room in God’s woods for new trees to sprout and grow – and be part of the experience of camp for decades to come! Tune up your chain saw and bring it, your safety equipment, and experience – and marvel at the beauty of the woods – and the bounty of the trees that provide beauty, life and heat throughout their lives!
